At bleedin' last

Wayne Smith - Under Me Sleng Teng; some 20 years after first bopping to it at Newcastle Uni Reggae Club. The flip of this reissue has a hissy and warped sounding version of Admiral Bailey's 'No Way Better Than Yard'

Also on order - represses all

Johnny Osbourne - Buddy Bye - another sleng teng from way back when ..
Phyllis Dillon - Rocksteady
Johnny Osbourne (again) - Man Jahoviah
Rod Taylor & Capleton - His Imperial Majesty. I'm presuming this is a repress as I couldn't get hold of it at the time it came out a few years ago. I got some of the others on the rhythm so I'm pleased to get this.

I wasn't expecting much from this one, but as well as the solo tunes, it includes Shades', Techniques' and duet tracks with Pat kelly and (separately) Tyrone Evans.

I'm sure I've heard that the Slickers' album is a good one too, though I don't have it.

I was tossing up wether to get the Slickers one as its availible from two different labels with a 3 track difference between the two the one from Tad's has two cuts of Cuss Cuss and Once upon a time from Delroy wilson but is slightly harder to get ahold of at a decent price where i was looking anyway so am going with the slightly cheaper Makasound version that misses these tracks which i have on other albums anyway so no big deal.

I'll be checking for the Slickers album (as well as a few others) when I drop in to Saturn (in Koeln) on Friday...

I just ordered 9 Billie by The Slickers. I couldn't find anything about it other than a scan from a Japanese site, but it was cheap so I thought I'd take a punt.

Its produced by D Crooks - again, I can't find this name anywhere. I love mystery tunes, other than the fact that 7 out of 10 that I get are rubbish. Still the good ones make it worthwhile.
